We’re seeking a skilled, organized, and creative chef to prepare weekday meals, either in clients’ homes or at PrepATL for delivery throughout the Atlanta area. You’ll also have the opportunity to execute intimate dinner parties and special events in clients’ homes.

Responsibilities

In-Home and/or Delivery Weekly Client Work

  • Shop for ingredients (Whole Foods, Publix, Buford Hwy Farmers Market)
  • Cook 1 appetizer + 2 dinners per family at client home or PrepATL
  • Adjust portions for Chef’s Selection clients
  • Package, label, and refrigerate or deliver meals (cold with reheating instructions)
  • Log delivery temperatures daily
  • Assist with prep, cleanup, and kitchen operations
  • Gather client feedback via surveys, calls, texts, or in-person
  • Submit weekly menus by Thursday midnight (cc manager) for Friday 8 AM
  • Attend new client calls/meetings to learn preferences
  • Maintain equipment (coolers, containers, ice packs, etc.)
  • Support Delivery Manager with production tasks
  • Attend team meetings, outings, and growth activities

Event Work

  • Lead dinner parties and events: plan, shop, prep, transport, cook, and clean
  • Coordinate client needs, allergies, equipment, and kitchen logistics
  • Manage event costs and complete post-event reports
  • Maintain catering kitchen standards
  • Organize team and equipment for each event
  • Build relationships with event clients
  • Collaborate with sales team to ensure all event details are met

Requirements

  • Culinary degree or certificate
  • 5+ years of professional kitchen experience
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexible, resourceful, and organized
  • ServSafe Food Handler’s Certification
  • Reliable vehicle (able to transport cooler/equipment)
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs and work variable hours, including evenings/weekends
  • Clean background check; non-smoker with a professional appearance
  • Fully vaccinated for COVID-19

Work Environment

This position works from clients home kitchens and from our catering kitchen (Prep ATL) in Doraville (3300 Marjan Dr) and involves delivery service inside the Perimeter with travel up to 25 miles outside the perimeter may be required on occasion for events or certain client deliveries (driving stipend included). Travel outside the perimeter will be required for events.

Compensation

This is an exempt W2 salaried position, offering a base salary along with incentive bonuses that align with the objectives of the role. Benefits currently include short and long term disability and life insurance, IRA with employer match, paid days off, and more. We are closed on New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
