Chef Jaren

Jaren was raised in a family of cooks and chefs, and food has shaped his life from the very beginning. Watching how a single meal could bring people together, spark memories, and build community planted the seed for a lifelong career in the kitchen — and a desire to create that same feeling for others through his own cooking.

Over the past 20 years, Jaren has built a career spanning private chef services, luxury catering, senior living and nonprofit dining programs, kitchen management, food styling, and culinary consulting. He is completely self-taught, having developed his craft not in culinary school but in professional kitchens — through hands-on experience, relentless curiosity, and a commitment to studying cuisines from around the world.

That self-taught path shows in his food. Jaren refuses to be boxed into a single style, drawing on Southern and Soul Food, American, French, Italian, Mexican, Southwestern, Caribbean, West Indian, African, Indian, Thai, and Chinese culinary traditions. The result is bold, elevated comfort food — dishes that blend global influences while still carrying his own signature.

Jaren has delivered luxury dining experiences for events, families, and high-profile clients across New Jersey and Georgia, crafting custom menus and executing everything from intimate dinners to functions of 100+ guests. His experience also includes leading kitchen operations at Covenant House Georgia, The Mansions Independent Living, and Geckos in Cape May, NJ.

Jaren is ServSafe Food Handler & Manager Certified and an ANSI Certified Food Manager (2022), bringing the same discipline in food safety, inventory management, and team leadership to every kitchen he works in.
