Chef Derrick

Chef Derrick discovered a passion for cooking over eight years ago, when a casual curiosity quickly grew into a genuine love for the craft. What began with collecting recipe books and experimenting with new dishes soon became a calling—leading to a career dedicated to creating memorable meals.

A graduate of Kennesaw State University’s Culinary Program, Chef Derrick brings four years of professional culinary experience and a diverse skill set spanning American, Italian, Japanese, and French cuisines. His background includes working in some of Atlanta’s most notable kitchens, including Nobu, Proof of the Pudding, Canoe, and Seed, where he honed technique and refined a versatile approach to cooking.

Chef Derrick is driven by the joy of serving others—the highlight of each meal is seeing guests enjoy the food and knowing their expectations were exceeded. That dedication to customer satisfaction is at the heart of every dish prepared.

Outside the kitchen, Chef Derrick finds inspiration in the world of art—whether it’s a museum visit, live music, or a scenic view. Cooking itself is seen as an artform, a way to transform ideas into something tangible, delicious, and deeply personal.
