Meet Chef Danielle

We are continuing our Chef Spotlight series in our newsletter, introducing our team of amazing culinary experts to you. This month, we’re getting to know one of our newest chefs, Chef Danielle.

What is the first thing you remember baking/cooking?

I remember making breakfast and lunch for my grandfather growing up. When I cooked for my grandfather, I mostly made scrambled eggs and the Maruchan ramen. I honestly think it was because he didn’t want to make lunch for himself so he had me do it. Although it wasn’t anything special, I think I make a mean scrambled egg and ramen now, considering all the practice I’ve gotten!

What do you like about being a personal chef?

I like being able to be creative and try new dishes and not have to be stuck to a menu.

Do you like to listen to music/podcast/audiobooks or just cook in silence?

I like to listen to music, all types of genres.

Did you learn anything new in the last year or so?

I’ve been learning how to roller skate!

If you’re not cooking, what are you doing?

You’ll find me sleeping, eating out, and walking nature trails. I mostly like to walk the Morningside Nature Preserve since it’s near my house. When I eat out, I like to go to Botica. It’s a pretty nice Mexican restaurant—the service, food, and drinks are consistently on point. 

What’s the latest in your own cooking world?

Studying Lao cuisine. I was drawn to Lao cuisine since it’s a cuisine that I think is not commonly talked about. I was watching King of the Hill one day and was wondering what his Laotian neighbors ate! I am still learning and haven’t gotten around to making anything yet, but I love their love for lemongrass.

What’s the latest in your world outside of cooking?

I’m excited to be part of the APCS crew since this environment is different from working in restaurants and hotels.

Love Atlanta Personal Chef! Their execution is flawless, quick, and clean, and the food is absolutely incredible. Hosted 14 people and everyone was raving about the dishes. It took all the stress out of hosting for me. I will do this every time I can.
